Cultural & Community-Focused Writing

Throughout my time at Hallmark, I contributed to culturally specific and community-centered categories, including my role as a key writer for Mahogany, a sub-brand rooted in Black culture. These were growth spaces that required working collaboratively with brand teams and utilizing consumer insights, performance data, and broader social trends to craft product that felt current and credible.

I was known for moving fluidly across distinct voices; I could quickly channel what was resonating and adjust messaging in ways that strengthened both audience connection and business impact. My role was not only to identify gaps and consumer needs, but to translate brand voice through cultural lenses with nuance and care, ensuring that the messaging felt authentic to the community and responsible to the brand.
